NLC CO., LTD was founded in April 2006 as a 100% subsidiary of Charle CO., LTD to develop new business projects.

Our company's name, NLC, stands for New Life Creation. Our mission is to provide products and services designed to enhance the lifestyles of those engaged in the fields of health, education, and the environment. Our ultimate goal is to enable more productive, fulfilling lives for our customers.

Our main product is U-SPEAKTM, which is a portable, pen-shaped voice recording and playback system. The U-SPEAK pen can playback associated voice/sound information immediately after it reads a microcode embedded in printed material. The U-SPEAK pen is small and light, and is easy for anyone to operate anywhere, anytime. We offer various types of U-SPEAK pens to serve a wide range of applications, and we have also worked with our strategic partners to develop content serving specialized needs.

To date, U-SPEAK has been successfully used in various settings throughout the world. With our "Bird Voice Set" developed together with Wild Bird Society of Japan, users can learn the calls of hundreds of birds. Visitors to Geopark in Hong Kong use U-SPEAK every day as an audio guide for its boat tours. The U-SPEAK pen system is also in use as an audio guide at various museums throughout Japan to provide detailed descriptions of exhibits.

We also have a U-SPEAK system specifically designed for the blind and visually impaired to assist in the identification of various daily household and office items. The flexibility and strength of the U-SPEAK system further enables it to be utilized as an effective educational tool to learn foreign languages in schools.
