The U-SPEAK pen is easy to operate, records high quality sound, and has enough memory to hold up to 50 hours of verbal descriptions using the supplied 2 GB SD card. The U-SPEAK pen is small and light, so it can be used anywhere, anytime. The U-SPEAK system can be used to uniquely identify thousands of objects with ease using optical identification technology.

How Does The U-SPEAK System Work?

The U-SPEAK system ships with a U-SPEAK pen as well as U-SPEAK adhesive tags. Each tag has nearly invisible microdots containing a unique code that the U-SPEAK pen can read. Upon first use the tag is affixed to an object, the pen touches the tag, and then the user records a verbal description of the object that is saved within the pen's memory. Later whenever the U-SPEAK pen touches the tag, the previously recorded description is played back. Advanced optical identification technology makes the process even simpler - users can touch the pen to any part of the tag in order to hear the description.
